Eating well involves choosing a variety of foods. Reading food labels can be helpful way to ensure that the choices you are making during your trip to the supermarket are the healthiest everyday options available.
There are many foods that fit this description but finding them on the store shelves can be difficult.
What should you look for? Fat? Sugar? Salt? All of the above? Where do you start?
There are a couple of simple steps to make this process a bit easier. Before you look too closely at the label look at the food and ask whether the food offers the best choice for you.
