Healthy Cooking and Diabetes
Being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes doesn’t mean that you have to stop eating food you love. Often all it takes is a little recipe modification!
Changing recipes is an easy way to help you achieve a healthier lifestyle while still enjoying meals that are traditionally less healthy. Once you learn the basics of giving a recipe a healthy makeover you can apply the changes to all your home-cooked meals.
Healthy recipe makeovers can be achieved in two ways: changing to healthier cooking methods and swapping unhealthy ingredients with healthier options.
See below for some handy hints on modifying recipes.
