Leave a Bequest to Diabetes Tasmania

Every day an additional 7 Tasmanians develop diabetes.

There are currently over 25,000 Tasmanians diagnosed with diabetes and an estimated additional 20,000 who have the disease and don't know it.

The demand for support, information, education and medical supplies in the management and treatment of diabetes is increasing considerably.

We turn to our community to support our contribution to the members of our community who are living with diabetes.

Making a bequest to Diabetes Tasmania in your will ensures the thousands of people who are yet to be diagnosed with diabetes will have the support they need to control their disease and maintain a higher quality of life into the future.

After remembering your loved ones in your will, consider a gift to Diabetes Tasmania in one of the following ways:

  • Specified dollar amount;
  • Specified percentage of your estate;
  • Residuary gift (or the remainder of your estate after making other specific bequests); or
  • Specific asset.

Any bequest to Diabetes Tasmania is both valued and valuable.  We appreciate you leaving the gift of gifts in your will, leaving your legacy to support Tasmanians affected by diabetes.

For more information, contact us by email or phone 03 6215 9000.

Diabetes is a lifelong incurable disease.

However, it is important to realise that a person diagnosed with diabetes today has a far greater chance of being able to manage the disease to prevent serious, often fatal, health complications.

This learning is provided by highly qualified health professionals such as Diabetes Tasmania's Diabetes Nurse Educators and Accredited Practicing Dietitians.

What we know today about the management of diabetes has come about from the pioneering work of doctors and clinicians in the past.

The support that those pioneers enjoyed from their community has enabled us to benefit from their work.

And so it is today. Your bequest will continue the benefit of increased knowledge and enhanced clinical practice to the Tasmanian community of the future.

Diabetes Tasmania's clinicians are highly qualified and experienced health professionals who perpetuate the proud tradition of community health support to those of us who need it most.

For more information about making a bequest to benefit members of your community please phone Carmen Jenkinson on 03 6215 9013 or click here to email her.

Thank You.
